Just to be clear, as it has evolved a little since I originally came up with it - the rules are:
1) Every other week, starting 7th April 2014, cook at least two things from a given country that I have not made before and which ideally use ingredients I don't normally make (enough) use of.
2) Said things can be main courses, accompaniments, desserts or even drinks - doesn't matter - but should ideally be for evening meals (and as leftovers for lunch!).
The countries are pre-allocated initially based on what recipe books I have to hand - the first 6 are dictated and then after that, we'll see...

[Yes, The Challenge is working geographically rather than at random as this means I'm not having to stockpile Moroccan spices one week only to need Japanese ones the next]
